Large Roll Screen Installation Examples for Museums and Art Galleries | Oita Prefectural Art Museum

"2015 JIA Japan Architecture Award Winner" With a maximum area of 55m2, it can accommodate various openings. It suppresses the rise in indoor temperature and creates darkness with complete sunlight blockage!

Introducing installation examples of our roller screen 'ZIPscreen'! 【Consider from the design stage! Recommendation for super-large roller screens】 SHY's ZIPscreen can accommodate sizes up to W6m x H15m (maximum coverage area of 55 square meters), making it suitable for large openings. This makes it ideal for cultural facilities such as museums and art galleries, where the effective use of space is emphasized. It not only significantly reduces sunlight but, depending on the specifications, can completely block out sunlight and create darkness, enabling a wide range of exhibitions and events to be held. *The maximum coverage area must meet certain conditions. 【Installation example: Oita Prefectural Art Museum - W5m x H10.5m (total of 22 units)】 ◆ By blocking sunlight from the screen side, high-precision light blocking was achieved with blackout fabric. ◆ Prevented indoor temperature rise. ◆ Accommodated multipurpose design, allowing installation on vertical and horizontal window surfaces, as well as sloped and curved openings. 【2015 JIA Japan Architecture Award Winner】 This project, Oita Prefectural Art Museum, won the 2015 JIA Japan Architecture Award. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to consult us first.
