This is an introduction to ecological surveys utilizing drones. Damage to crops caused by wildlife has exceeded 20 billion yen annually. About 70% of this damage is attributed to deer, boars, and monkeys, leading to a decline in farming motivation and an increase in abandoned farmland. Therefore, we utilized the advantages of drones to conduct various surveys, including data acquisition through the use of thermal infrared cameras and aerial photography. Factors contributing to the expansion of wildlife damage include the expansion of wildlife habitats, a decrease in hunters leading to a reduction in capture numbers, and an increase in abandoned farmland.
