An AGV that operates on a pre-set route without the need for magnetic tape. It contributes to automation and productivity improvement by transporting goods unmanned in factories and warehouses.
Sharp's automatic guided vehicle (AGV) contributes to labor savings and increased productivity by transporting products and goods unmanned in factories and warehouses. The guide-less AGV (TYPE GL-A) autonomously travels along a pre-set route while checking the surrounding conditions with sensors mounted on the main body. In factories and warehouses that frequently change the layout of production lines, route changes can be made without the need to replace magnetic tape. If it detects obstacles such as shelves or people on the travel route, it automatically stops. With a low floor type body height of approximately 190mm, it can be equipped with an optional transport unit to slide under carts and trolleys for towing transport. Additionally, this model is a hybrid type that can travel autonomously as well as on magnetic tape. By using it in conjunction with magnetic tape, it enables travel in narrow aisles and high-precision stops (±5mm) required for equipment coordination. *Note: Depending on the height and dimensions of the transported items, towing transport may not be possible.
