By combining with satellites, it allows for one-to-many communication from any location in the world, including polar regions, simply by pressing the PTT button. It supports multilingual display in Japanese, English, Chinese, French, and Spanish. It has an IP67 dustproof and waterproof rating, making it safe to use in harsh environments like heavy rain or dusty conditions, similar to those encountered during disasters.
