Medical polymer with the same properties and performance as PLLA polymer.
"Poly-D-lactic acid (PDLA)" is obtained by using lactide (the cyclic dimer of lactic acid) as a monomer and performing ring-opening polymerization. It has the same properties and performance as PLLA polymer and can be substituted for PLLA, so it is rarely used alone. When forming a stereocomplex (scPLA) with PLLA, improvements such as an increase in melting point and enhancement of mechanical properties occur, leading to ongoing research and development of scPLA. Our BioDegmer is produced in facilities compliant with ISO 13485, can be processed into a wide variety of shapes, and is used in a broad range of applications in the medical field. [Features] - Has the same properties and performance as PLLA polymer - Flexible processing characteristics - Capable of being processed into various shapes - Properties: crystalline, transparency, heat resistance (when stereocomplexed) *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

BMG is a research and development venture company that has been challenging the development of new biomaterial products adapted to trends in the medical field, based on a long-standing strong collaboration with the Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Medical Research. Focusing on the field of medical polymers (macromolecules), we are engaged in two promising growth businesses: the "BioDegmer" business and the new products business, as well as research and development aimed at providing innovative solutions in the medical field. Under the management philosophy of "contributing to the health of people around the world by working on the development of better biomaterial products and providing innovative solutions in the medical field," we support the improvement of technologies in the next generation of regenerative medicine and the healthy well-being of people in three areas.
