Recommended for applications such as new medical devices! A polymer with flexible processing characteristics.
Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) is obtained by using lactide (the cyclic dimer of lactic acid) as a monomer and performing ring-opening polymerization. L-lactic acid and D-lactic acid have the same chemical properties, differing only in their stereostructure. Therefore, the resulting PLLA polymer and PDLA polymer have almost the same properties, except for their stereostructures. However, the PDLLA polymer exhibits different properties because its molecular chain stereostructure differs from that of PLLA and PDLA polymers. Our BioDegmer is produced in facilities compliant with ISO 13485, can be processed into a wide variety of shapes, and is used in a broad range of applications in the medical field. 【Features】 ■ Mainly processed into biodegradable bone fixation materials ■ Also used as anti-adhesion membranes and stents ■ Flexible processing characteristics ■ Capable of being processed into various shapes ■ Properties: crystalline, transparent, heat-resistant (when stereocomplexed) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

BMG is a research and development venture company that has been challenging the development of new biomaterial products adapted to trends in the medical field, based on a long-standing strong collaboration with the Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Medical Research. Focusing on the field of medical polymers (macromolecules), we are engaged in two promising growth businesses: the "BioDegmer" business and the new products business, as well as research and development aimed at providing innovative solutions in the medical field. Under the management philosophy of "contributing to the health of people around the world by working on the development of better biomaterial products and providing innovative solutions in the medical field," we support the improvement of technologies in the next generation of regenerative medicine and the healthy well-being of people in three areas.
