A must-see for those looking for polymers in various shapes! Medical polymers with flexible processing characteristics.
The "Glycolic Acid/L-Lactic Acid Copolymer (PGLA)" is obtained by using glycolide (the cyclic dimer of glycolic acid) and lactide (the cyclic dimer of lactic acid) as monomers and performing ring-opening polymerization of them. Lactide can be classified into three types (L-lactide, D-lactide, and DL-lactide) due to its optical activity, so we refer to the copolymer of glycolide and L-lactide as "PGLA." Our BioDegmer is produced in facilities compliant with ISO 13485, can be processed into a variety of shapes, and is used in a wide range of applications in the medical field. 【Features】 ■ Obtained through ring-opening polymerization ■ Flexible processing characteristics ■ Capable of being processed into various shapes ■ Properties: Poorly soluble (high glycolide content) *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

BMG is a research and development venture company that has been challenging the development of new biomaterial products adapted to trends in the medical field, based on a long-standing strong collaboration with the Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Medical Research. Focusing on the field of medical polymers (macromolecules), we are engaged in two promising growth businesses: the "BioDegmer" business and the new products business, as well as research and development aimed at providing innovative solutions in the medical field. Under the management philosophy of "contributing to the health of people around the world by working on the development of better biomaterial products and providing innovative solutions in the medical field," we support the improvement of technologies in the next generation of regenerative medicine and the healthy well-being of people in three areas.
