Typically, to check the frequency and strength of radio waves emitted from wireless communication devices, electric field strength measurements (dBμV/m) are conducted. When using a spectrum analyzer (MSA400 series) in combination with our dipole antennas (M401 to M407), the calibration data (antenna gain) is already reflected, allowing for easy electric field strength measurements based on the settings of the spectrum analyzer. However, if you are using an antenna that you own for electric field strength measurements, you will need to write the calibration data into the spectrum analyzer.
