The collaboration between Arakawa's cyber attack automatic defense solution software "AX-Security-Controller (hereinafter referred to as AX-SC)" and Flowmon's behavior detection feature "Flowmon ADS (Anomaly Detection System)" has been technically verified by both companies. "Flowmon ADS" detects undesirable behaviors on the network, such as communication with C&C servers, port scans, and dictionary attacks, identifies the IP address information of suspected devices that may be infected with malware or compromised, and notifies "AX-SC." In turn, "AX-SC" automatically blocks communication from and quarantines the suspected devices. As a result, customers who have built their networks using Arakawa's switch products and "AX-SC" can add "Flowmon" appliances to monitor traffic both entering and exiting the internet and across the internal organizational network. This allows them to stop damage at the edge switch and prevent the spread to the entire network, achieving automation of security threat detection and countermeasures.
