We would like to introduce a case where Mitsubishi Electric utilized our products in the construction of various thermal fluid system technologies. The company believes that the use of optimization tools is essential for future technology development, and has introduced modeFRONTIER and FloTHERM. They promptly attempted the shape optimization of a natural air-cooled heat sink, which was necessary for their operations. The optimization calculation conditions were set with input variables including the number of internal fins, base thickness, fin height, and fin thickness, while width, length, and overall height were fixed values. The optimization calculation was conducted, successfully extracting the optimal shape.
