A method for seismic retrofitting the connection between existing manholes and pipes using non-excavation techniques.
This construction method involves cutting the walls of the manhole along the outer circumference of the pipe using a specialized cutting machine, thereby separating the edges of the manhole and the pipe. The cut grooves are filled with backup materials to prevent the inflow of soil and sealing materials to prevent the inflow of groundwater, enhancing the seismic resistance of the connection. Additionally, by installing absorption rubber blocks in the invert section, it prevents the pipe from protruding into the manhole during an earthquake, thereby avoiding damage to the pipe opening. 【Features】 - Manhole covers can be constructed with an internal diameter of 600mm or more. - Construction is possible for pipe internal diameters up to 700mm. - Seismic performance can accommodate a maximum bending angle of 5.0 degrees and displacements of up to 100mm due to level 2 seismic motion, ensuring the functionality of wastewater flow. - Minimal impact on surrounding ground, underground installations, local residents' lives, and traffic. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
