The TCP-D551 is a compact UHF digital simple radio manufactured by Kenwood, designed to be lightweight, thin, small, and easy to use, with performance that makes a difference in daily operations. It meets 11 military specifications of the U.S. Department of Defense (MIL-STD). Additionally, it has dust and immersion protection equivalent to IP67. It protects the radio from dust and submersion, and its design also withstands water pressure from sudden bad weather, complying with IP55 for water jet resistance. Its performance is maintained even when an optional speaker microphone is attached. Moreover, it features easy operation with four keys, allowing various function settings. The LCD screen supports kanji and displays the channel number in a large font of four characters.
