LCI's classic collection representative work
This is a table-type lighting that represents the classic collection of LCI, designed by Jacques Adnet, a leading figure of French modernism, in 1929. At that time, he was the director of 'La Compagnie des Artes Francais' (a high-art furniture manufacturer), leading notable members such as Charlotte Perriand, Francis Jourdain, and Georges Jouve. "Quadro" has always been an important lighting piece in LCI's catalog, but its inception was a reproduction based on the judgment of art director Gilles Derain, who was also a leading researcher of the French modernism movement. The lamp body is made of metal with a brass palladium finish, and the light-emitting part is made of matte-finished acrylic. The base is made of marble (black Marquina stone), and the power cord is covered in fabric. The design has been modernized by replacing the light source with LED while keeping the original design intact. The power button also functions as a dimmer.
