Additionally, Raychem's Voltage Power Limiting (VPL) heaters are parallel heating cables with a coiled alloy resistance heating element wrapped around two parallel conductors. The resistance of this heating element increases with temperature, generating a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) effect.
