The outer diameter measuring device directly blows air onto the workpiece and is a measuring tool that amplifies the changes in the gap between the workpiece and the measuring device using an air micrometer. There are methods to measure by clamping the workpiece and by placing it inside a ring shape. By rotating the workpiece, roundness can be measured, and by moving while measuring a round workpiece, cylindricity can be measured. ■ About the outer diameter measuring device ○ Shape for measuring by clamping the workpiece PO type: This is a shape that measures by clamping the workpiece. It is the most commonly used. POT type: This is a measuring device with a carbide tip on the V surface to extend the durability of the PO type. POK type: This is an indirect measuring device using a lever with carbide, primarily used when the surface roughness is 6S or higher, or when the width of the measuring surface is 5mm or less. POR type: This is a format that measures by placing the workpiece inside a ring, commonly used when the workpiece is small. ■ Master plug gauge This is a gauge used as a measurement standard for outer diameter.
