"Resin concrete" is a material that is solidified by mixing aggregates and fillers with synthetic resin (liquid resin) without using any cement hydration products, which are the binding agents in cement concrete. Thermosetting resins, particularly unsaturated polyester resins, are commonly used as liquid resins. The polymerization reaction of the liquid resin, which occurs when mixed with initiators (catalysts) and accelerators, firmly bonds the aggregates together in a short time, resulting in a hardened molded product that is dense and exhibits high strength and durability.
