We are introducing a case study on the utilization of heavy racks by Gooriki Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells racks and space-saving equipment. At Fine Plus Co., Ltd.'s Nanao Factory, four rows of pallet racks with a loading capacity of three tiers were arranged to allow materials to be stored while still on the pallets. By verticalizing the storage format, it became possible to store three times the amount in the same area, and by shortening the workflow, the sorting work time was reduced to two-thirds, achieving space-saving and labor-saving in the raw material storage yard.
