[FA Site Improvement Case] Understanding Equipment Status with Wireless Andon Display Light

We will introduce a case study of improvement in the FA (Factory Automation) field proposed by Patlite. A car parts supplier, Company A, faced the issue of taking too much time to check the machine's status (operating/stopped/materials running out, etc.). We proposed our wireless signal tower Andon. By transmitting machine information via the wireless control unit "PWS" and displaying it on the Andon, we resolved the issue. Additionally, there was a concern that it was difficult to get the attention of leaders or other personnel when needed, which caused work to stop and reduced productivity. By displaying information on the Andon when personnel needed to be called, we improved visibility and allowed for a quicker grasp of the situation on the shop floor. 【Case Study】 ■ Before Implementation - It took time to check the machine's status (operating/stopped/materials running out), so we wanted to understand the status of each machine at a glance. - It was difficult to get the attention of leaders or other personnel when needed on the work floor, leading to delays. ■ After Implementation - When personnel need to be called to the site, a switch is pressed to display that signal on the Andon. - Visibility has improved, allowing for a quicker understanding of the situation on the shop floor. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
