It is a handy type I-V curve tracer, ideal for the maintenance of solar power plants with string voltages below 1,500V.
By measuring the solar radiation at the site and the temperature of the module, the actual values can be calculated to STC (Standard Test Conditions) and compared with the rated values of the module to determine if it is producing output. This allows for the identification of output degradation due to dirt or deterioration of the module by comparing the measured values during regular inspections. Maintenance and servicing can be performed for systems ranging from residential to mega-solar, and measurements can be taken for individual modules. By comparing the measured values under the same conditions as the rated values specified in the JPEA guidelines, it is possible to detect output degradation that does not distort the I-V curve. Additionally, performance can be compared during each inspection to monitor output degradation due to performance decline.
