  Mechanism of the locking device 1. When the concave nut is tightened, the eccentric washer presses against the threads of the bolt. (Wedge action) 2. The bolt and the concave nut come into close contact, increasing frictional force. 3. The taper of the eccentric washer pushes the concave nut upward, making contact with the threads of the bolt.
