Elcometer 3092
The spring-type hardness tester scratches the coating surface with a set pressure (pressure spring) to determine the hardness of the coating.
The main body is equipped with a cursor fixed by screws and a rounded tip. Pressure is applied to the tip by a spring. There are four types of springs with different pressure levels: - Gray spring: 0–3N (0.671lbF) - Red spring: 0–10N (2.248lbF) - Blue spring: 0–20N (4.49lbF) - Green spring: 0–30N (6.74lbF) The pressure of the spring can be adjusted using the "ring" attached to the main body. Gradually increase the load while drawing a short straight line on the membrane surface. Observe the marks left on the surface and the state of the membrane to determine the hardness of the coating.
