NETIS registration! It is an environmentally friendly construction method that does not use chemical binders.
The "Vacuum Consolidation Drain Method" is a technique that uses drains equipped with airtight caps and drainage hoses to achieve consolidation improvement through negative pressure. By utilizing the upper clay layer as a negative pressure sealing layer, it allows for consolidation improvement without the need for a sealing sheet on the ground surface, which was essential in conventional vacuum consolidation methods. Since it can be transported and installed with the airtight cap and drainage hose attached, on-site work can be simplified, and it can be efficiently installed using standard drain construction equipment. Because a sealing sheet is not required, it can also be applied to ground improvement below the water surface, which was difficult with conventional methods. 【Features】 - Does not cause shear failure - No need for fill materials or sand mats - Can be used in conjunction with loaded fill - An environmentally friendly method that does not use chemical solidifying agents like cement - NETIS registered (No.HK-060002-V) For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

basic information
【Construction Procedure】 ○ Preparation Work / Preliminary Survey → Conduct various ground investigations such as boring surveys and cone penetration tests to understand the conditions of the target area. ○ Installation of Capillary Drains → Drive capillary drains into the ground at specified intervals and depths. ○ Installation of Vacuum Consolidation Drainage System → Connect drainage hoses to collection pipes and header lines, and connect to the negative pressure apparatus. ○ Operation and Measurement Management → Through the operation of the negative pressure apparatus, pore water within the ground is discharged through the drains, resulting in consolidation improvement. → During construction, measurement management regarding the improvement effects is conducted using negative pressure gauges, settlement plates, displacement piles, etc. ○ Removal and Completion → After the improvement is completed, remove the vacuum consolidation drainage system and other equipment. ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

The Vacuum Consolidation Drain Method Research Association conducts research and dissemination activities on the consolidation drainage method called "Vacuum Consolidation Drain Method," which uses capped drains. The vacuum consolidation method (atmospheric pressure loading method) was devised in Sweden in the 1940s and was introduced to our country in the early 1960s. This method utilizes vacuum pressure to discharge pore water contained in soft ground, aiming to achieve consolidation settlement and increased strength of the ground. In conventional vacuum consolidation methods, sealing sheets are used to maintain airtightness. In this method, capped drains with pre-installed drainage hoses are vertically driven to a depth of about 1 meter (in cohesive soil layers) to ensure airtightness through negative pressure sealing effects. Therefore, since the sealing effect can be achieved in one step of vertical drain installation, this leads to labor-saving in construction, cost reduction, and shortened construction periods.
