[Case Study on Trouble Improvement] Foam in the Drainage Process (2)
Improvement case
Suppression of floating substances in drainage! By adding a defoaming agent to the coagulation sedimentation tank, the outflow of SS components is prevented.
There were concerns such as 'the coagulant is not easily forming flocs in the wastewater treatment process (sedimentation tank)' and 'due to incomplete floc formation and bubbles, SS floating occurs frequently, leading to discharges into the river.' As a solution, the addition of 'Bismar FS-12' confirmed the effect of suppressing SS floating. Being an emulsion type, it has a low COD load. As a result, the discharge of SS was significantly improved, and the amount of defoamer used at the discharge outlet was reduced by 15%. [Case Summary] ■ Concerns - The coagulant is not easily forming flocs in the wastewater treatment process (sedimentation tank). - Due to incomplete floc formation and bubbles, SS floating occurs frequently, leading to discharges into the river. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
