Understand contamination levels in 3D! 'Continuous Groundwater Sampling Device'
MIS-241-1-01 type
High precision in groundwater environmental surveys! Sampling can be conducted in an undisturbed state, allowing for a three-dimensional understanding of contamination concentration distribution!
Conventional groundwater sampling equipment, such as bailers and submersible pumps, cannot sample at a specific depth without disturbance due to the structure of the devices. Marui's "Continuous Groundwater Sampling Device" allows for undisturbed sampling of groundwater at every 1-meter depth, making it a groundbreaking product that enables three-dimensional understanding of contamination concentration distribution. To sample, a single inner pipe with a strainer is quietly lowered to the designated position in the observation well, and when the groundwater stabilizes, an outer pipe is inserted around the inner pipe. Finally, both the inner and outer pipes are lifted together, and the two sampling pipes, which are sealed with water at each depth, are separated, allowing for undisturbed groundwater sampling. This is a patented product. 【Features】 ● Continuous sampling of groundwater every 1 meter in depth ● Allows for undisturbed sampling ● If multiple observation wells are available, the concentration distribution of groundwater can be understood in three dimensions ● Enables accurate execution from groundwater contamination surveys to purification countermeasure design and monitoring.

Applications/Examples of results
【Soil and Groundwater Contamination Survey at Factories and Other Sites】 Three-dimensional understanding of groundwater contamination can be achieved, allowing for rational countermeasure design. In countermeasure construction, accurate monitoring enables understanding of the remediation process and rational construction management. 【Natural Soil and Groundwater Contamination Survey】 In cases of heavy metal groundwater contamination, such as in mountainous tunnels, it is possible to understand the depth and concentration distribution of contaminant leaching due to the geological structure of the ground. 【Groundwater Contamination Survey Due to Nitrate Nitrogen in Agricultural Production Areas】 Groundwater contamination by nitrate nitrogen due to excessive nitrogen fertilizers is often widespread, and multi-point observation wells can be used to understand the three-dimensional zone of contamination. 【Leakage Investigation of Contamination from Waste Disposal Sites】 If contaminants have infiltrated underground due to damage to impermeable sheets, observation wells can be used to investigate the "pathway" of contaminated water at various depths. 【Depth-wise Water Quality Survey in Well Construction】 Groundwater quality varies with depth, and this can be used to determine the strainer depth for collecting high-quality water by avoiding strata with high iron content.
Detailed information
-
It is possible to understand the contamination status of groundwater in 3D. By sampling groundwater continuously every 1 meter in depth without disturbance, we can grasp the concentration distribution of groundwater in three dimensions by utilizing multiple observation wells.
-
Sampling groundwater at a depth interval of 1 meter continuously. For water collection, a riser pipe with a strainer is quietly lowered one by one to the designated position of the observation well. Once the groundwater stabilizes, an outer pipe is inserted around the outside of the inner pipe. Finally, both the inner and outer pipes are raised together, and the two sampling pipes, which are in a sealed state at each depth, are separated, allowing for the collection of groundwater in an undisturbed state.
