■Features - It is possible to print out the date, lot number, and measurement results on-site and submit them as documentation. - The average value, standard deviation, maximum value, minimum value, and other statistics of the measurement results can be easily calculated with simple operations. - To accommodate changes in the material, shape, and thickness of the substrate, it is possible to pre-register and call up the optimal calibration curves for that substrate in four electromagnetic methods and four eddy current methods. - You can set upper and lower limits for the film thickness being managed. ■What is an eddy current method? When a high-frequency current is passed through an induction coil and brought close to a metal surface, eddy currents are generated on the surface of the metal. These eddy currents change according to the distance between the induction coil and the metal surface, which in turn causes a variation in the voltage across both ends of the induction coil. This change is read from the current value and converted into film thickness, resulting in an eddy current thickness gauge used for measuring insulating coatings on non-magnetic metals.
