The MS842P is a barcode scanner that achieves a price nearly the same as wired products while being wireless. Its durability, able to withstand drops from a height of 1.8m, has received positive feedback. It is equipped with a high-performance 2D imager engine that supports reading major 1D and 2D barcodes, including QR codes. The dedicated communication dongle included with the product connects wirelessly to the scanner. The communication dongle can be stored in the cradle or directly connected to a PC's USB port. The communication range is approximately 10m. Even if it goes out of range, the scanned data is automatically saved to the scanner itself and will be uploaded when it returns to range.
