If these symbols are used in vertical connection diagrams according to domestic conventions in Japan, they do not align with the intuitive flow of signals from top to bottom. Therefore, JIS C 0617 (Usage of Symbols) states that "symbols may be rotated or inverted as long as their meaning is not changed," which is why the symbols in JIS C 0617 have been inverted and rotated. ■Differences from JIS C 0617 Compliant Electrical Symbols The electrical symbols compliant with JIS B 6015 have been (1) inverted and (2) rotated 90 degrees to the left from the electrical symbols compliant with JIS C 0617.
