NN-LABS has started selling high-performance core-shell structures of CIS (Cu, In, Se) and ZnS (zinc sulfide) that do not contain heavy metals, replacing cadmium-based quantum dots. CuInS/ZnS (CIS) quantum dots have high quantum efficiency and excellent long-term stability, despite being non-toxic and environmentally friendly. The new CIS particles from NN-LABS are expected to serve as excellent alternative materials in the fields of biomedical applications, solar power generation, and LED lighting.
