An ideal natural paint to replace interior materials that cause environmental issues such as sick house syndrome.
"Kakishibu" is being re-evaluated as a natural paint made from natural materials that can replace interior materials in buildings, which are causes of sick house syndrome and formaldehyde issues. Japan's climate is blessed with a rich natural environment, but being surrounded by the sea results in high humidity throughout the year, which has been a significant problem for people's daily lives. Mold grows on wood, paper, and fibers, and if left untreated for a long time, they can corrode. Kakishibu has been used since ancient times as a practical wisdom to protect Japanese culture, which can be said to be a culture of wood and paper. It has been utilized as an important supporting role by enhancing waterproofing effects when applied to wood, paper, and fibers, and has also been used as a preservative. The types of persimmons include Tamura persimmon, Atori persimmon, and Tsurunoko persimmon, all of which contain a lot of tannins. For more details, please download the catalog.
