Electrode with automatic temperature compensation
■mV Mode In mV mode, it is possible to measure the electrode's activation force and determine its quality. ■Handling of Ion Electrodes When measuring the concentration of sample water using chloride ion electrodes or fluoride ion electrodes, it is necessary to add an ionic strength adjuster during calibration and measurement to ensure that the measurement is not affected by the ionic activity strength or pH of the sample water.

Applications/Examples of results
Can residual chlorine be measured with a chlorine ion electrode? Chlorine ions are the chlorine components dissolved in water. In other words, they refer to the chlorine components in chlorides that are dissolved in water. For example, table salt is sodium chloride (NaCl), which, when dissolved in water, separates into Na+ and Cl-. Cl- becomes a chlorine ion in water. Chlorine ions are an important water quality parameter measured in various fields such as food, chemicals, aquaculture, sewage treatment, and rivers, serving as an indicator of salinity. Residual chlorine refers to all effective chlorine (chlorine with disinfection effect (oxidizing power)) remaining in the water, known as free residual chlorine and combined residual chlorine. As mentioned above, chlorine ions and residual chlorine are different. Therefore, a high concentration of chlorine ions does not necessarily mean that there is sufficient chlorine for disinfection. Additionally, residual chlorine cannot be measured with a chlorine ion meter.
