The TAP Grout Method is a waterproofing technique that involves injecting a sealing material (TAP injection fluid) with water-stopping effects into voids caused by construction joints or cracks in concrete structures. In the TAP Grout Method, the concrete body is drilled, and a high-pressure injection plug with a check valve, called the "O-Plug," is installed. The space where the O-Plug is installed is referred to as the pressurized zone, which allows high pressure to be maintained and transmitted to the leakage path without escaping. Using a dedicated high-pressure injection machine, the "TAP injection machine," the TAP Grout injection fluid is continuously supplied at high pressure into this pressurized zone. The injection fluid, which is sent in large quantities from this pressurized zone, spreads throughout the entire leakage path, displacing the water inside the structure and filling the entire leakage path, thereby achieving waterproofing. Additionally, by replacing the entire leakage path with the sealing material, it prevents water from entering the interior of the concrete structure, contributing not only to the repair of the leakage points but also to the improvement of the durability of the concrete structure.
