Its application involves placing an acceleration pickup on a vehicle seat and sitting on it to measure the vibrations the vehicle imparts to the body.

These standards define frequency weighting characteristics corresponding to vibration transmission points and three axial directions, aimed at quantifying whole-body vibrations that are periodic, irregular, and transient in relation to vibration perception, comfort, and health issues. ◆ Measurement results can be recorded on a CF card. ◆ Equipped with outputs in three directions, allowing waveform recording to frequency analyzers and data recorders.
