In places with complex flow velocities such as estuaries, it is possible to measure flow velocities at different vertical levels.
The compact and lightweight body is equipped with sensors for compass, tilt, pressure, and temperature, which are recorded in the built-in memory. The sensor head is configured with three transducers tilted at 25 degrees, using three ultrasonic beams to obtain flow velocity profiles at any layer thickness (minimum 30 cm) and up to a maximum of 128 layers. With the standard 9MB memory and internal battery, it can conduct observations for 2 to 4 months. Furthermore, by adding additional batteries, the observation period can be extended even further.
