It cannot be used with telephones that do not have a connection between the speaker and listener's lines (telephones that do not pick up side tones), so please check with your telephone manufacturer in advance. (A simple way to check if your phone picks up side tones is to blow strongly into the microphone of your receiver. If you can hear the sound of your breath from the receiver's speaker, then it is a phone that picks up side tones.)
