It has the property of expanding when rapidly heated at high temperatures, and its various other features are being utilized in various fields such as agriculture, horticulture, and construction!
"Vermiculite" is a mineral primarily composed of silicon oxide, magnesium oxide, and aluminum oxide, and it resembles mica in appearance. When it passes through a high-temperature (800–1,000°C) furnace, the moisture contained within the crystal layers instantaneously turns into steam, causing the layers of the raw material to delaminate and expand rapidly in an accordion-like manner, increasing its volume by several times. This is known as "expanded vermiculite." 【Features】 ■ Water Retention: Capable of holding a large amount of moisture in the accordion-like gaps. ■ Sterile: Treated at high temperatures, making it sterile and clean. ■ Cation Exchange Capacity: Due to its high cation exchange capacity (CEC), it can retain many bases (nutrient components). ■ Fire Resistance: It has an exceptionally high fire resistance with a melting point of over 1,300°C. ■ Insulation: It possesses high insulation performance. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
