Unlike traditional types that use screws to fasten the wood, this type assembles by sandwiching the wood together, eliminating the use of screws. As a result, rainwater does not accumulate in screw holes, making it less prone to wood rot. For maintenance, please use a protective wood stain that has insect-repellent, anti-decay, and anti-mold properties. (Please finish the surface with sandpaper of about 180 grit before applying.)
