This time, we will introduce a case of renovating a wooden bridge over the Tamayu River in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. A precise inspection of the existing wooden bridge was conducted, followed by design and renovation.

This is a wooden bridge over the Tamayu River in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. It is located a bit away from the Tamatsukuri Onsen area, but it is used as a pedestrian bridge and as a pathway for people's daily lives. A detailed inspection of the existing wooden bridge was conducted, followed by design and renovation. The detailed inspection was carried out according to the inspection manual of the Japan Wooden Bridge Association, using a penetration resistance measuring device called "Resistograph" and a propagation velocity tester called "Fakopp".
