Did you know that Okayama Prefecture, where our company is located, is known for its thriving fruit cultivation, such as peaches and grapes, while also producing high-quality rice? With a warm climate, abundant sunshine often referred to as the "land of sunshine," and the rich waters from the three major rivers, the production of quality rice is supported. Asahimai, which is well-loved as Okayama's rice, has been treasured for sushi rice since ancient times and is considered the root of Koshihikari rice. This time, we aim to realize a remote monitoring system utilizing IoT technology in collaboration with the Bichu Prefectural Agricultural and Forestry Business Department (Niimi Agricultural Extension Center) and others. Our activities will focus on developing a low-cost water level gauge specifically for measuring water levels in fields, investigating its usability, accuracy, durability, and other factors, and promoting the dissemination of simple water level gauges based on the results.
