[Product Utilization Case] Addition in Outer Space

The spacecraft is developed on the ground, undergoes testing, and is transported to each operational base via a launch vehicle after being fully assembled. The components need to be designed to withstand the high loads encountered during the launch phases.
The AIMIS-FYT team at Munich University of Applied Sciences is developing and researching an additive manufacturing process. In this process, the manufacturing of structural components takes place in a microgravity environment. The elements necessary for space travel do not need to meet launch requirements but can be finely adjusted to meet mission requirements.
The process is being studied in parabolic flights in microgravity, with our 'uEye CP industrial camera' playing a significant role.
