Japan's first adoption of a antiviral and antibacterial coating made of Dyanium by J-Bus, the largest domestic manufacturer of bus bodies. (Press release date: January 18, 2021)
Daiyanium Co., Ltd., a regular member of the SIAA (Society of Antibacterial Products Technology), has had its nanodiamond catalyst product (Daiyanium) adopted by Japan's largest bus body manufacturing company.
Daiyanium, which has been adopted by J-Bus Co., Ltd., the largest bus body manufacturer, as a coating agent for bus interiors, is a registered product that meets the SIAA antiviral and antibacterial standards after passing rigorous safety and efficacy tests. Furthermore, this product has been verified through joint research with Nara Medical University to reduce specific viruses adhered to non-porous surfaces coated with Daiyanium by over 99%.
Buses, which support people's mobility, carry a large number of unspecified passengers. The day when safe buses coated with antiviral and antibacterial properties will run on Japan's roads is approaching.
This initiative to introduce antiviral and antibacterial catalysts in bus body manufacturing is the first of its kind in Japan.
【Construction Information】
Daiyanium will be applied primarily to areas frequently touched by passengers (such as passenger seats, side windows, interior panels, handrails, straps, stop buttons, air conditioning vents, etc.). Other areas can also be addressed upon request.
