Announcement of the Release of the Optimal Box Proposal Engine (Optimization of Packaging Box Sizes)

We have released an analysis software, the Optimal Box Proposal Engine, which simulates the sizes (length, width, height) of packaging cardboard boxes that will reduce costs based on actual shipping performance (size information).
Shipping costs vary significantly based on the total size of the three dimensions of the packaging cardboard used. By minimizing the number of dimensions, substantial reductions in shipping costs are possible. The Optimal Box Proposal Engine calculates the minimum cardboard size suited for the product based on shipping performance, contributing to reductions in shipping and material costs.
We have successfully achieved a cost reduction of 13.2%, approximately 2.5 million yen per month, for e-commerce operators.
The Optimal Box Proposal Engine allows users to verify the reduction amount based on the actual cardboard boxes used (original boxes) and the calculations from the engine. A free simulation is available for the first time, so please feel free to download the catalog and consult with us.
The Optimal Box Proposal Engine requires actual shipping data (size) of the products, so it is proposed in conjunction with the Packaging Box Selection Engine (BOX Engine).

A system that automatically calculates based on the external dimensions of the shipped products and the internal dimensions of cardboard boxes to select the smallest box. By linking the selection results with WMS and EC systems, it is possible to include appropriate box numbers in the picking list. It improves the selection process that tends to choose larger boxes. Proper box selection enables cost reduction through shipping with the smallest cardboard box.
