Blending into buildings that have aged over time
As an example of the high wood texture in the Ayaki series, I have mentioned several instances of traditional Japanese houses, such as townhouses and old folk houses, in this column.
There are also many uses of Ayaki half-timbering in Japanese houses. Most of the wood used in Japanese houses is of an aged color. The aged wood has a rich, deep color close to black, which blends seamlessly with the unique atmosphere of traditional Japanese houses that have stood the test of time.
