Renovation of two wooden bridges in Hotarumi Bridge Park, Minami-Alps City, Yamanashi Prefecture was carried out. In addition to inspections through tapping, shaking, and visual checks of the deteriorated existing wooden bridges, precise inspections using a resistograph and a facop were conducted, and renovation designs were made. The H-beams were reused, and only the wooden parts were renovated.
Renovation of the wooden bridge spanning the moat of Fukuoka Castle Ruins in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture was carried out. A precise inspection of the deteriorated existing wooden bridge was commissioned, and a report was submitted to conduct the renovation design. Instead of wood, the beams are made of steel, the floorboards are made of composite wood, and the handrails are steel pipes coated with wood-like resin.
At Zaiensu, we are renovating various wooden bridges as an effective use of stock.
・Inayama Zelkova Forest (Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture) reused the steel beams and fully renovated the wooden parts.
・Nanasu no Taki Park (Kita Ward, Tokyo) reused only the foundation and fully renovated the wooden parts.
・Nopporo Forest Park (Sapporo City, Hokkaido) reused the existing laminated timber beams after applying preservatives. The floorboards and handrails were replaced.
