Adopted for the small recovery capsule mounted on the "Kounotori" cargo spacecraft for the space station.

The straight-type direct-acting solenoid valve developed by Shinwa Controls will be installed in the small recovery capsule mounted on the HTV, which is being developed as a means of transporting supplies to the International Space Station (ISS) by JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency).
Previously, the resupply vehicle (HTV) was designed to burn up upon re-entering the atmosphere, but the HTV currently under development will store samples generated from experiments on the ISS in the small recovery capsule and bring them back to Earth.
Our solenoid valves will be installed in a total of nine units in this small recovery capsule, of which eight will be used as injection valves to control the capsule's attitude after it enters the atmosphere, and one will be used to operate the deceleration parachute.
