●Background of Introduction In recent years, this plant has seen an increase in visitors from foreign factories, and there were concerns that the originally installed barrier-type car gate had low security both in appearance and function. ●Issues Before Introduction The barrier-type car gate posed a problem as it could be easily bypassed, and since it was installed at the main entrance, there was a need to accommodate frequent vehicle traffic. ●Improvement Proposal and Introduction Effects Considering the concerns of the customer, we proposed a fence gate that combines the vehicle processing capacity of the barrier-type car gate with the shielding capability of an electric gate. After installation, we received positive feedback from the customer due to its robust appearance and ease of use. Additionally, since the installation site is in a coastal area with very strong winds, the bars of the originally installed car gate were prone to breaking in high winds. However, this issue of damage and replacement has been eliminated, allowing for comfortable use.

●Background of Implementation This factory has a space for storing products near the exit of the truck yard. There is already a car gate at the exit, and a system has been established to manage trucks leaving the facility using RFID. The car gate is restricted to pedestrians, and operations are conducted through a designated human access gate. ●Issues Before Implementation The issue raised by the customer was that people were entering and exiting by crawling under the car gate. Due to the proximity of the product storage space to the exit, there had also been incidents of theft from external intrusions. Additionally, employees were not using the human access gate, and some were entering and exiting the premises through the car gate, rendering the access control ineffective. ●Improvement Proposal and Implementation Effects The focus of this issue was solely on the fact that individuals could crawl under the car gate. Therefore, we proposed replacing the existing car gate with our company's fence gate to prevent crawling under and climbing over. Furthermore, we installed new surveillance cameras to keep a record. This allowed us to simultaneously achieve the prevention of external intrusions and the management of employee access.
