There are two types of acrylic sheets: "extruded" and "cast." Each has a different manufacturing process and significantly different characteristics. 【Extruded】 ■ Cutting: Weak against heat cutting, and the cut surface tends to melt easily. *Ice melt cutting (large laser processing) not possible. ■ Engraving/Etching: Weak against heat, engraving surface melts. *Engraving not possible. ■ Adhesion: Excellent for adhesive processing. *Air bubble-free adhesion (secondary and tertiary processing) possible. ■ Bending: Soft and suitable for bending. *Oven bending not possible. ■ Contamination: Prone to cracking from solvent chemicals (thinners), etc. ■ Thickness accuracy: High precision with little variation. ■ Material cost: Low. *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us. Acrylic is an incredibly versatile transparent resin!

Acrylic resin is a highly transparent "synthetic resin." It is also sometimes referred to as organic glass, along with polycarbonate and others. SOL style × Madoka Corporation has won the Excellence Award at IDM! With Madoka's technology, new images and expressions are now possible!

This is a new movement that was launched to establish the importance of the interior domain in society and to position itself as a professional in creating social assets, through mutual understanding, cooperation, and exchange among various interior-related organizations (currently 26 organizations) that have different purposes and guidelines. Until now, SOL style and Madoka Co., Ltd. have designed and materialized various "worlds of imagination" using acrylic in the "Ice Melt Hotel" and "Ice Melt Inn." This time, we have materialized the core concept of "Ice Melt" by cutting thick acrylic with high technical skill. We designed a "blank space" of imagination that reflects light and gives viewers a new image, and we received an excellence award! Judge Shigeru Kubota commented, "By making countless cuts into the thick acrylic with laser cutting, this thick acrylic bends! Displaying it as if it were a fixture integrated with the wall, the idea that the wall itself bends, likening the bending process to a hinge. Additionally, new attempts were made, greatly advancing the possibilities of acrylic."
