We will be exhibiting at IDM! Over 20 interior-related organizations from across the country will gather at Spiral Garden (Aoyama, Tokyo)!

まどか まどか 本社・工場
This is a new movement that was launched to establish the importance of the interior field in society and to position itself as a professional in creating social assets, through mutual understanding, cooperation, and exchange among various interior-related organizations (currently 26 organizations) that have different purposes and guidelines. Specific activities planned include networking events, seminars, symposiums, collaboration with educational institutions, alliance projects, and hosting design exhibitions. So far, SOL style and Madoka Co., Ltd. have designed and materialized various "worlds of imagination" using acrylic in the "Ice Melt Hotel" and "Ice Melt Inn." This time, we have materialized the core concept of "Ice Melt" by cutting ultra-thick acrylic with high technical skill. We designed a "blank space" of imagination that reflects light and gives viewers a new image.

Acrylic Trivia: Manufacturing Methods and Properties of Acrylic Sheets

There are two types of acrylic sheets: "extruded" and "cast."

There are two types of acrylic sheets: "extruded" and "cast." Each has a different manufacturing process and significantly different characteristics. 【Extruded】 ■ Cutting: Weak against heat cutting, and the cut surface tends to melt easily. *Ice melt cutting (large laser processing) not possible. ■ Engraving/Etching: Weak against heat, engraving surface melts. *Engraving not possible. ■ Adhesion: Excellent for adhesive processing. *Air bubble-free adhesion (secondary and tertiary processing) possible. ■ Bending: Soft and suitable for bending. *Oven bending not possible. ■ Contamination: Prone to cracking from solvent chemicals (thinners), etc. ■ Thickness accuracy: High precision with little variation. ■ Material cost: Low. *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us. Acrylic Trivia: What is acrylic resin?

Acrylic is an incredibly versatile transparent resin!

Acrylic resin is a highly transparent "synthetic resin." It is also sometimes referred to as organic glass, along with polycarbonate and others. While it has transparency that surpasses glass, it is easy to process (cutting, machining, drilling, bending, and bonding) and has high impact resistance (not easily breakable) and weather resistance. 【Features】 ■ Transparency - Very high - Easy to color and dye ■ Workability - Cutting (laser, jigsaw, cutter) - Engraving (laser, rotary tool) - Drilling (drill) - Bending (heater, furnace bending) - Bonding (solvent bonding, polymer bonding) ■ Durability - Weather resistance (approximately 10 to 20 years outdoors) - Combustibility (ignition temperature 400°C, can be extinguished with general fire extinguishing agents) - Elasticity (expands and contracts about 0.7 to 2mm with a temperature change of 10°C per meter) - Safety (fragments do not scatter upon breakage) - Electrical insulation (high insulation, withstands high voltage) - Operating temperature (-40°C to +65°C, deformation occurs at high temperatures) *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us. You can also view the company brochure from the PDF download.

Towards an Era Where the Environmental Value of Products Becomes a Competitive Advantage - From CFP Calculation to Environmental Labeling, CBAM Compliance, and ISCC Certification.

  • NEW
  • SEMINAR_EVENT

Decarbonization is currently shifting its positioning from "cost management" to "enhancing competitiveness," and we are entering an era where mere regulatory compliance is no longer sufficient. With the strengthening of sustainability labeling regulations and the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the environmental value of products has transcended corporate responsibility and become a crucial element in market competition. On the other hand, many companies are facing challenges such as: - The complexity of CFP calculation and environmental labeling requirements makes it difficult to know how to proceed. - How to balance regulatory compliance with enhancing competitiveness (differentiation). - Difficulty in prioritizing ISCC certification and CBAM compliance. In this seminar, we will invite Wastebox Co., Ltd., which has extensive consulting experience in the environmental field, to introduce ideas and specific examples on how to connect responses to decarbonization and the circular economy to business growth from both "offensive" and "defensive" perspectives. ■ Part 1: "Understanding the Environmental Value of Products from Offensive and Defensive Perspectives: How to Leverage Decarbonization and the Circular Economy for Differentiation and Regulatory Compliance" ■ Part 2: "Why Are We Entering an Era of Product Environmental Value Now? (Tentative Title)" ■ Part 3: "Introduction of Services Supporting the Reliability of Product Environmental Value"
