The wellness use of the W board has been adopted by the United Nations.
Our W Board, which we manufacture and sell, has been adopted for the UN-HABITAT (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) Iraq project.
We have been selected for JETRO's New Export Nation Consortium and have been working on developing overseas sales channels for the W Board. This export to Iraq marks our first export, and we received an order through Okaya & Co., Ltd., delivering 770 pieces of W Board.
The W Board is a lightweight and environmentally friendly building material made from wood plastic. In Japan, it was registered with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's NETIS in May 2015 as a protective board and has been adopted by rental stores for construction temporary facilities nationwide, being used at construction sites. In Iraq, the W Board is utilized for temporary housing flooring, taking advantage of its waterproof properties and ease of processing with saws. UN-HABITAT is working to address housing issues for residents and refugees who have lost their homes due to war in Iraq. We are very pleased that our products can contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq. Moving forward, we will continue to contribute to reducing environmental impact and improving living conditions through the supply of our products both domestically and internationally.
