T.I.D. starts selling Accusys Thunderbolt storage in Japan.

T.I.D. Corporation has announced that it will begin selling the Thunderbolt-only model "A08S2-TS" of the PCIe storage ExaSAN series from Taiwan's Accusys company in Japan starting today. The newly released A08S2-TS is a dedicated Thunderbolt model that provides storage performance exceeding 1000MB/s in real-world tests for Mac Pro and MacBook Pro systems that do not have PCIe slots. TID plans to accelerate the adoption of this Thunderbolt-only storage among sales partners and end-users in industries that handle large volumes of data, such as image and video editing, printing, and academic research institutions. Additionally, TID has previously sold ExaSAN units equipped with uniquely aged SATA HDDs, but in conjunction with this announcement, it has decided to also offer the tower/box-type models for sale without the drives. This will expand product selection for end-users, allowing for flexible product choices based on required storage capacity and reliability, from small post-production studios to large environments needing file sharing.
