【CPDS Certified Event on June 26, 2026】 61st Webinar "Introduction to Countermeasure Methods in Regional Disaster Prevention and Recovery from the Perspective of Geomorphological Research"
**Lecture Content**
1. **Keynote Speech**: Considering Regional Disaster Prevention from the Geomorphological Research on the Noto Peninsula Earthquake and the Heavy Rain Disaster in Oku-Noto in 2024
Through field surveys and analysis of geomorphological data, it is becoming clear that the changes in landforms caused by the Noto Peninsula earthquake significantly influenced the occurrence of sediment disasters due to heavy rain after the earthquake. In this lecture, I would like to discuss the mechanisms of this influence and the potential for regional disaster prevention utilizing spatial information.
Professor Hirotake Omaru
Department of Environmental Science, Faculty of Bioresources and Environmental Sciences, Ishikawa Prefectural University
**Break: 10 minutes**
2. Introduction of Countermeasure Methods for Disaster Recovery: There are technologies that can reach places that were previously unreachable!
I will introduce the "Separate Shot Method," a spraying system that enables mortar spraying over long distances and at high elevations, which was previously difficult, and the "Kyojingar Method," which allows for manual construction and enhances erosion resistance with mortar bags equipped on vegetation mats in contour-like small steps, including construction examples.
